Niswi Nishiimeyag (Three Sisters)
11 x 14" Print on Cardstock
Represents an Indigenous agricultural practice where the corn, beans, and squash all help each other grow and lean on one another for support. In the painting the bean is Dene, the squash is Tori, and the corn is myself. These Indigenous womxn depicted are my best friends, and now sisters who have been there for me since day one first year university. We all chose to move away from our hometowns to Vancouver, BC and are all now following our educational dreams with the support of many.
